Smartphone Vehicle Cooling Plate 2nd gen

Problem: 1st generation extended beyond the console apartment into the passenger’s vicinity provoking inadvertent touch and force. 4 small sliding joints between the plate & fan duct interface were prone to fail. Recursive reinforcement between the fan duct and fan transition resulted in feature creep.

Solution: Fan is not only rotated 90º to fit in the compartment, but also combined with the fan duct into a single piece. The entire frame of the fan duct is now a tongue & groove joint with a tab at the bottom to lock in place.
